I need 1 more challenge from tour challenge 1 but I need either mario, metal mario or mario (musician) for it.
Or would baby mario work too? I guess not since it doesn’t have a mustache. Also it annoys me that for standard challenge 2-1 I need to wait 4 weeks since it takes 1 week to grow a tier. Assuming I rank high enough every week to tier up.
@MrGam3andBu1ld they are real players. When their score is really low they probably either don’t care or aren’t super invested in the game. The longer the game is out and the higher the ranking tier you are in the higher other players will score. Currently the higher scorers are the smart players and the paying players.
EDIT: no, the only benefit is challenges. But those challenges net you rubies and coins which are needed to unlock stuff.
One last thing: does anyone know if mario kart tour is going to be supported through my nintendo rewards? I've got more coins than I know what to do with
I'd be suprised considering most of the other major mobile games have gotten the support, with some exceptions (Dr. Mario, Pokemon Go)

@MrGam3andBu1ld as described in the game. The gold tour is time based. It will last 2 weeks. I’d say use it on the last day of this tour so you have more free range in the paris tour next week.
That's fair, but would badges be auto collected? because I've done the math, you can't get all the presents from this tour without additional stars. With both challenge boards and daily challenges, you'd still need either tickets or the gold board to get you the rest of the way.

If anyone wants to know, the current gold pass gives you
32 rubies
1 platinum, 1 gold and 1 silver character ticket (those are used to level the tier of a character without needing a duplicate of them)
1 p, 1 g and 1 s kart ticket
1 p, 1 g and 1 s glider ticket
50 item box tickets
2 tour tickets (used to remove 1 day of every tour timer)
1.500 coins
3 star tickets (gives you a free stat each)
3 glider, character and kart level tickets each (gives 100 exp each)
The black B dasher kart
The bull’s eye banzai kart
The gold blooper kart
The metal mario character
Let’s be real, €5,49 monthly is a lot but if you keep playing you get more than buying rubies directly. Since a tour takes 2 weeks to finish you get these rewards + another set of those rewards.
Also it unlocks 200cc and the gold tour challenges for the duration of the pass. The other rewards are permanent.
after a race i get an error saying connection error.
the handling is horrible btw. i put on manual drifting and i just dont understand it. sometimes you drift. sometimes you dont. sometimes you dont even steer. i remember why i hate mobile games
@6ch6ris6
That's about exactly what I thought about the streering with drift mode. Many times i can turn, but too many times it doesn't turn. And if I want to aim for a jump or boost panel, the game appears to hate that. Ive got 3 stars on all cups in mk7 & mk8, so this isn't a case of not being good at Mario Kart. I did about 14 races on MK Tour, winning most of them. But my steering seemed to get worse at times, rather than better. I'm jealous of those that understand & like the game controls.
Great game, dunno why people complain about steering.. it's part of the challenge.
lmao broken controls are not meant to be part of the challenge.
is all progress reset after 2 weeks? i heard that in a review but couldnt believe it. do i lose all my characters and stuff after a "season" or whatever it is called ends?

I hope they don't take away your characters after the tour resets, that'd be a total scam. Can you imagine if you spent a ton of real world money to get the character you wanted only for it to be snatched away in 2 weeks? People would lose their minds. I'd most definitely stop playing if that was the case, especially given the luck I've had with the above pulls, I probably won't be as well off the next time.
I suspect they just mean your progress on the cups. When the new tour starts, they'd have a bunch of new cups to play through and make you start all over through the new ones while your unlocked characters, karts, and gliders are unlocked permanently. This is also speculation, but that would make the most sense the way the game is set up.
I wasn't excited for the game or anything, but I decided to play it on day 1, I'm some how still playing it despite being pretty annoyed with the game. Surprisingly I got use to the controls, but not a fan of all the gambling and such, didn't spend a single cent on the game, but I did get a nice bit unlocked. I really want to be able to use someone like Dry Bones more....but can't really do that now if courses require certain characters and karts to get the best benefits.
I don't really mind using a different character from time to time, but oof towards that part of the game. I'm trying my best to do 150cc to get max points for each course, but the AI is pretty cheap at that point, they recover fast, but if I screw up, they are a mile ahead of me then. I just want to be able to not worry about points, but here we are, needing to do 150, a certain character and kart combo, boosting up base points, and racing while trying to do a lot of tricks and land as many hits.
I'm at that point in which I need to get over 10,000 points to get 5 stars on a course, and I need to do the harder challenges before they expire. Now if only challenges didn't expire, but alright, in brighter news, in a day once that shell cup finishes up, I should get 20 rubies, and also in 1st on my friends list with over 20,000 combined points.
Hoping multiplayer won't be annoying and I can actually use who I want without worrying about points and 3 items at once.
@6ch6ris6 the controls aren't broken. But I guess people today are too stupid to adapt to control schemes on all platforms nowadays so it's no surprise that people would whine about swiping left and right.
i swipe left to the edge of my screen. character barely moves to the left ingame. my screen is fine. my phone is not broken and i have like over 20 years of gaming experience. i can trell when something just doesnt work.
also in general it is kinda stupid to even have this control scheme when you cant change the aspect ratio to widescreen. steering comes down to a too narrow degree. if the screen was widescreen you would have way more space to steer. but oh no it is a smartphone game so it has to be dumbed down, because people cant use both hands to control a game
