With how much traction Palworld has received in the past week, I thought it would be a nice idea to have a thread dedicated to it to all the people who play it, want to share some tips, ask questions, tell their adventures and so on. Every topic regarding the game counts.
And with that in mind, let me share a quick recap of my experience - Im level 29, have like 1/3 of the map uncovered, base level 13, and I have a squad of bosses with my Chillet and Katniss on the frontline.
I'm loving it and I usually get bored of survival type games.
I think its amazing how accessible this game is, I have adjusted the meters so that I don't need to worry about managing my hunger and stamina so that I can just focus on exploring and capturing new pals instead of constantly thinking about food or running out of stamina when sprinting around on my dog. (I really wish BotW/ToTK were this accessible as I hated the stamina meter in those games, it ruined my experience)
@Princess_Lilly I agree it's not as invasive as other survival games but I personally would rather not have it active - especially the stamina bar. I hate sprinting and then being stuck walking while a meter refreshes.
That's why I find Palworld so accessible, there's options to play in whatever way suits a person's individual playstyle
Just want to warn you that making this thread is not the best idea since many Pokemon and Nintendo fanboys are raging against Palworld right now.
There have already been some threads about this game but those were put in the incorrect forum and/or were focused on the controversy. Having an official general forum thread on the game itself (this) seems like the appropriate thing to do to talk about actual gameplay.
For myself I can't play because I only really have Switch to play games on, but I've watched some gameplay streams. If I were to play it I think I would prefer it without the survival aspects. It kind of seems like a few different game genres shoved together and some of it looks really fun to me, but things like starving to death if you are focused on some fun crafting or pet activities has never seemed fun to me.
@Chaotic_Neutral yeah, I didn't even know how many options there are. Truly a well thought game.
@Link-Hero So far we didn't get any people with bad will, and it's a thread for discussing the game, not the controversy around it, sorry I didn't add it in the 1st post
@FishyS tbh, the survival aspects are massively downplayed. In the 1st hour you have a running farm and a bag with hundreds of edibles that are automatically activated so you're never hungry. I hope it comes out on Switch. Stranger things happened
@Link-Hero Hey there! Just to clarify it was removed due to the "Nintendo fanboys" part as this can come across as baiting, especially on a Nintendo focused site
I do agree with the rest of your comment though, however, I'm glad to see it stayed civil here and there is a space for people to chat about the game if they want to
@Link-Hero yeah it's pretty accurate and I say this as someone who thinks Nintendo is the only big company that makes games worth buying anymore. But @DreamlandGem is right, we kinda need to be very delicate with people these days. I've seen people losing their minds over smaller things
Here’s to hoping that Palworld gets a switch release. I really like Pokémon and I really like survival games like Minecraft and BOTW (don’t even know if those count as survival games) so it sounds like a no brained.
@Link-Hero yeah, many people say they vibe with Depresso. The way he mines is just way too cute. Lamballs are too precious too. You'll see that there are many more cute Pals, I still have a foxpark in my team (they are near the starting location, you might have seen him after 20 hours).
What's your level? I don't want to spoil you anything good and that's a good indicator of progress
