THQ Nordic has today announced that its annual Digital Showcase will be heading our way on 2nd August this year and it promises to bring "new announcements". Ooh, the suspense!
The event will kick off at 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST, meaning that we only have *frantically counts* 92 days before things get underway.
In its announcement tweet, the publisher confirmed that two non-Switch titles, Gothic I Remake and Titan Quest II, will be receiving "exciting updates" during the showcase, but there is every chance that we Switch lovers will be thrown a reveal or two as well — an Epic Mickey: Rebrushed release date? Maybe?
Yes, we are getting quite the heads up on this one, but a little bit of preparation time never hurts, eh? Mark your calendars for three months' time, folks!

Looking forward to the release of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, because it never looked any better in HD.
I don't really follow THQ like that these days, so I'll be interested to know any information.
I just remember THQ being a sign of like, anti-quality, back in the NES days. Are things different now?
@canaryfarmer No different. In fact they're arguably worse. They pump out games like nobody's business, and for the most part, they each have that defining THQ Nordic quality... poor performance. Which is not surprising given how many games they put out. A few years ago, I read they had 80 games in development.

Will try not to get me hopes up too high as it's probably too soon since the release of Cosmic Shake. But it'd be awesome to see a remake of the SpongeBob Movie. Or some other Nickelodeon game. Nickelodeon has really been leaning heavy into the licensed games this generation--most of which are pretty solid, albeit not all of them. Would love to see Cartoon Network embrace games a bit more. MultiVersus is a start, I suppose, but even that doesn't have very much CN representation.

It's interesting to see the article so positive on THQNordic, when the site typically goes out of its way to drag Embracer through the mud. Not surprising is seeing the comments dog on their inability to get good performance on Switch
Honestly I would love to see a remake of the SpongeBob movie game. That game is basically my “battle for bikini bottom” thanks to the fact I only have the inferior GBA version.
Lara Croft returning to her Tomb Raiding roots and the games main focus will be raiding tombs and solving puzzles.
Destroy All Humans 3, Darksiders 4, (maybe a collection of the first three games and Genesys?) Biomuant 2, Elex 3.... I'm not asking for much just a bunch of brand new games hehe.
Real headline is that THQ Nordic still expects to be around in August. Brave, THQ, brave.
