Nintendo Europe Confirms Professor Layton for 3DS in 2012

Ahh, cool! So this has been confirmed for a European release but not an American one yet? Thanks to Nintendo of Europe, I'm happy to live here for once in my life!

The third game in the storyline? I thought it was the second game of the second trilogy.

Is it the third or the fourth? The last game was a prequel to the Curious Village game, and last year's layton game was just a follow up to the thirth..

I think it doesn't make sense to cram in another layton between 3 and 4..

EDIT: Ok so now I'm confused... Where does the game belong, and what is the second storyline? =O

but great news anyways, I really love the Layton games, always crying at the ending...

I thought there were 3 normal layton games, and this years prequel before those. So this would be the fourth game right? =O

lol majora's mask would be a instesting title for a layton game i like the name mask of miracle i think there gonna keep that name cause i can't think of any good names lol well i hope the american realease date gets realeased soon

@1 It was confirmed for an American release at E3 2010 before Layton 3 and 4 had come out.

Thats good to hear. Hope that means a US release down the road. I still need to get the new game that just came out recently though.

I need to get Spectre's call first but this is good news but I wonder why Emmy hasn't been seen in any screenshots of this? That surprises me as I thought that she would be in all three games in the prequel trilogy.

Oh, younger Luke again, huh? I'm not through Last Specter yet granted, but I think I'd like to see the story jump back to "present-day" rather than these prequels. I'm sure it will be a great game just like the rest, though. It's more of an aesthetics issue for me, preferring his older self.

Half the people who play layton games buy them for the theme (I could listen to that theme all day)
