Drop by and say hello

As we approach the South by Southwest Interactive festival next week, indie developer Renegade Kid announces that it will be an exhibitor at the SXSW ScreenBurn branch of the media event.

From 11th - 13th March, Renegade Kid will be at SXSW 2011 in Austin, Texas, at booth 110 of Exhibit Hall 2. There will be opportunities to meet the team, play their games and, in particular, the upcoming Face Kart: Photo Finish on the 3DS. If you're going to be in the area, make sure you head down if you want to see how the studio's first 3DS project is shaping up.

Speaking on Twitter to 3DSConnect, Jools Watsham, co-founder and director of Renegade Kid, said we can count on more game details being revealed at E3 2011.

Here's a brief description of the studio's photogenic racing game from the official press release last month:

Developed by Renegade Kid, Face Kart: Photo Finish lets players tilt and turn the Nintendo 3DS to steer their photo customized speedsters through 20 unique race tracks, as they drift around corners, soar over chasms and speed past the competition. Players use the Nintendo 3DS camera to snap their own picture and then map it onto their avatar, the landscape or even a turbo boost so they can pick up their very own power-ups as they race. Each avatar offers up to one hundred choices in hair, clothing and eyewear, plus cars can also be customized by tuning and tweaking to create the ultimate personalized racer.

Face Kart: Photo Finish is scheduled for release this September.
